1. Where will the new council be headquartered?
2. I've heard that we will be selling several of our camps and service centers.  Is that true?
3. Where will we be able to purchase badges, patches, uniforms and resources?

The property sub-committee, made up of staff and volunteers from all 5 of our legacy councils, went through a decision analysis process to determine their recommendation for the administrative services center for the new council.  Their recommendation was approved by the CRC at its meeting on January 11 in Joplin.  The administrative services center for the new council will be in Springfield.  Regional service centers will be located in each of the other 4 service centers in Cape Girardeau, Dexter, Jefferson City and Joplin.  Read the January 17 press release.

No decisions have been made about closing, upgrading, selling or buying properties.  A properties/facilities sub-committee will visit council properties, review records, and document our assets.  We can expect that a thorough properties study will be conducted after our merger so that we have facilities which meet girls’ needs and are affordable.

Girl Scout merchandise will be made available in convenient and cost effective ways.  There will be some Girl Scouts shops in the council.  Girl Scouts of the USA and the new council will be offering merchandise online.  And, many councils offer variations of mobile Girl Scout shops, too.
